How to switch from a Member account to a Friend account or vice versa?
At this time, RentAFriend.com does not provide the functionality to switch between a Member account and a Friend account directly from within your existing account. However, we recognize the need for such flexibility and are actively working on a feature for future releases that will allow users to switch between account types seamlessly.
Current Workaround:
- Deactivate or Delete Your Current Account: Before creating a new account with the desired account type (Member or Friend), you must first deactivate or delete your current account. Please note that if you deactivate or delete your account, you'll lose any current connections or messages, so make sure to communicate with any ongoing contacts about the change.
- Register a New Account: After deactivating or deleting your current account, you can proceed to create a new account with the type you desire (either Member or Friend).
- Unique Email and Phone Number: Keep in mind that each account requires a unique email address and phone number. Ensure that these are not linked to the account you've just deactivated or deleted.
Important Note:
If you have an ongoing subscription or active bookings, it's essential to cancel these before attempting to deactivate or delete your account.
